MEDICATION REFILLS
Questions about medications, or, medication samples can be handled by our office staff at 937-439-3600.
We are happy to order appropriate medication refills for patients who have been seen by a Pulmonary & Medicine of Dayton physician in the past twelve (12) months.
IMPORTANT: If it has been more than twelve (12) months since your last office visit with a Pulmonary & Medicine of Dayton physician, please call the office to schedule an appointment, at which time your physician can address your prescription refill request.
Pulmonary & Medicine of Dayton has adopted the electronic medication refill process known more commonly as e-Prescribe. This state-of-the art system will expedite your requests and ensure you have the medications you need, when you need them.
We encourage you to anticipate your medication needs and call your pharmacy BEFORE you run out of your medications.
REQUEST A REFILL-
You may request refills by contacting your pharmacist and having them fax or electronically send your refill request to the office. Your pharmacy will send the office a refill request via fax, or, electronically using the e-Prescribe network.
There are some instances when a prescription cannot be processed electronically; in these instances, you will be transferred to our Medication Line and your prescription request will be refilled manually.
You will be transferred to our Prescription Line by a receptionist or nurse if you call the office about a medication refill. We will need certain information in order to process your medication refill request from our office:
- Your full name
- DOB
- Address and phone number
- Along with the name, strength and dosage of the medication you are requesting and
- Your pharmacy name and phone number.
Refill requests will be processed within 2 business days. We are unable to contact you to verify information.
MEDICATION SAMPLES
If you are requesting samples please leave your name, DOB and phone number along with the name and strength of the medication you are requesting. Sample requests are processed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We will contact you to let you know if we have samples available within 3 business days of your request. We are unable to contact you to verify the name or strength of the medications you are requesting. Samples should be picked up within 2 weeks of the office notifying you of availability, unless otherwise discussed with the office.
